Ryan Roche, owner of RyKar Homes, is living his dream by fulfilling his lifelong passion for new home building and remodeling. A Charlotte native, he earned a BS in Accounting from UNC Wilmington and initially went to work as an administrative manager in the textile industry. But just two years out of college, he moved back to Charlotte to pursue a career in residential construction with Pulte Homes. Seven years later Orleans Homes recruited and hired Ryan to oversee construction for its Charlotte division. He was soon promoted to V.P. of Purchasing, responsible for purchasing, accounts payable, a design center and architecture for the division. Ryan continued in his vice president role when Orleans was purchased by Taylor Morrison, a top 10 national new home builder. Then in May 2017, he decided to open his own company, consulting for big builders and building new homes. In 2018, RyKar plans to build approximately 10 new homes and has even bigger plans for the future. In addition to his work commitment, Ryan is very active in the community. He serves on the Board of Directors for Dublin Dog Foundation which raises money to buy service dogs for special needs children. His family includes his wife of 20 years, 14-year-old identical twin sons, a 12-year-old daughter and two labs. When he is not bouncing between scout meetings, basketball games and swim meets, Ryan enjoys camping, hunting, saltwater fishing, mountain biking and spending time with his family.
